Family Movie: E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982, rated PG)
Richland Public Library
955 Northgate Drive, Doris Roberts Gallery, Richland, WA, 99352
E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial is a heartwarming science fiction film about a lonely 10-year-old boy named Elliott who befriends a gentle alien accidentally stranded on Earth. Elliott and his siblings hide the alien in their house, name him "E.T.," and try to help him build a communicator so he can "phone home" and be rescued by his people before government agents capture him. Light snacks and movie licensing are courtesy of the Friends of the Richland Library. Feel free to bring blankets to lay on in front of the screen! We attempt to keep our family movies sensory-friendly as possible with plenty of ambient light, lower volume than the movie theaters, and room to fidget. If you need additional sensory accommodations, also offer a Sensory Sunday matinee of the same movie!
