AI, Business & Public Policy: What Washington Employers Need to Know Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing the workplace, but the public policies surrounding AI are developing just as quickly. Join the Tri-City Regional Chamber for a Regional Advocacy Roundtable focused on the laws, regulations, and policy debates that could shape how businesses use and manage AI. The discussion will explore AI-related proposals considered in Olympia, issues that may emerge during the next Washington legislative session, and potential federal action. We will look at what these policies could mean for employers, including compliance requirements, costs, innovation, workforce management, privacy, and competitiveness. The roundtable will also examine the ethical questions businesses face as AI becomes more common in hiring, employee management, decision-making, and other workplace activities. This is not a discussion about how to use AI. It is a conversation about how public policy and responsible business practices may shape the future of AI in the workplace. Thursday September 17, 2026 1:00 AM - 2:00 AM PST Tri-Cities Business and Visitor Center 7130 W. Grandridge Blvd Kennewick, WA 99336 The event is Free, but registration is encouraged.
