It's our 75th anniversary, so this year we're taking a movie journey to revisit some of the amazing movies that have been enjoyed by our patrons through the decades! In honor of the spooky season, we're going back to Salem, Massachusetts to check in with the wickedly funny Sanderson Sisters! 12 pm: Hocus Pocus (1993, PG): Three mischievous 17th century witches are accidentally resurrected in modern-day Salem, MA on Halloween night. A trio of kids must outwit the wicked sisters before they can steal the town's youth to achieve eternal life. 2 pm: Hocus Pocus 2 (2022, PG): The Sanderson Sisters have accidentally been resurrected. AGAIN. Still on their quest to steal the town's youth, this time they are even MORE befuddled by rapid changes in technology and it's up to a new generation to save the day. Sensory Sunday Matinees are shown with the lights one, volume low, and is a safe space for movie goers to move around, make noise or express themselves while enjoying some great films. Light snacks and movie licensing are courtesy of the Friends of the Richland Library. Guests are welcome to bring a blanket and pillows to stretch out on at the front of the room.
