Teaching takes a community—and teachers should not have to find every supplemental learning opportunity on their own. Teachers and school staff are invited to a free, after-hours Teacher Open House at REACH Museum. Tour the exhibits, meet REACH educators and local education partners, and discover programs, expertise, and resources that can support your classroom throughout the school year. Explore opportunities for preschool through high school, including: Museum field trips and place-based learning experiences Classroom guest speakers Curricula and educational resources Professional development opportunities Supplemental programs in science, history, the environment, and regional culture Participating organizations include LIGO, Coyote Canyon Mammoth Dig, Washington State Department of Ecology, Manhattan Project National Historical Park, STEM Foundation, and Tapteal Greenway. New This Year: Free Pilot Field-Trip Opportunities Educators may apply for a free museum field trip and help the REACH Museum test and refine one of two new place-based learning experiences: Hanford Reach Solar System Model Field Trip For grades 3–8, developed in collaboration with SILAS Education Manhattan Project at Hanford Field Trip For grades 6–8, developed in collaboration with Manhattan Project National Historical Park Come meet the community organizations ready to help you create meaningful learning experiences for your students.
